COVID-19 Update

In response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation Harbison is elevating its prevention and control protocols, and as such, wanted to clarify a couple of key points:

  • Harbison is NOT in lockdown and we are open for visitors, however visitors must:
    • Use hand sanitiser
    • Sign in/out when entering or leaving the facility
    • Provide contact details and name of the resident they are visiting
    • Disclose whether they have visited any other aged care service or hospital in the past 14 days
  • Access is restricted after 6pm and before 8am, and we may refuse entry at any time to anyone who is deemed to be an infection risk
  • Children under 12 must have the approval of a Director of Nursing prior to visiting (we have suspended our schools programs)
  • Resident bus trips are limited to scenic drives to keep residents from community areas where they are at more risk
  • You must not visit Harbison if in the past 14 days you or any member of your household have travelled from overseas or been in contact with a suspected or confirmed coronavirus case
  • You must not visit Harbison if you are unwell
  • Urgent updates will be provided to next of kin using our emergency SMS system
