Maintenance Assistant

 

We are currently seeking experienced and appropriately-skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance team. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • General maintenance tasks including painting of rooms, general grounds duties, general building duties, furniture removal, stocktakes and cleaning etc at both facilities
  • Corrective and preventative maintenance based on the online scheduling program
  • Ensuring a safe work environment is upheld by reporting incidents and hazards through the reporting program
  • Reporting and documenting changes in resident care needs and uncharacteristic behaviours
  • Ensuring minimal disruption to the residents when attending work around the facility and communicate any work required in advance

  • Supporting the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission’s requirements

 

What are we looking for

  • Trade qualification is preferred however not required
  • Organised attitude and ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints
  • Knowledge of WHS practices and promoting a safe work environment
  • Self-motivation, the ability to work autonomously and also part of a team
  • A commitment to a high standard of work
  • A focus on continuous improvement
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
