Harbison Health is a multidisciplinary allied health practice in the Southern Highlands,
created specifically for older adults and their carers.
Our team provides calm, confidential, and practical support to help you maintain your health, independence,
and overall wellbeing.

Our allied health team works together to support your emotional, cognitive,
and physical health, helping you stay well at home and in your community.

Our Services
Psychology & Counselling
Life doesn’t always get simpler as we age – changes in health, memory, or relationships can bring stress, sadness, or uncertainty.
Our psychologists and counsellors provide a safe, understanding space to help you make sense of these changes and find new ways forward.
We can support you with:
- Anxiety, depression, and adjustment
- Grief, loss, and life transitions
- Memory and cognitive concerns
- Carer fatigue and wellbeing
- Loneliness and social withdrawal
Sessions are available in-clinic, at home, or via telehealth.
Dietetics
Nutrition plays a key role in healthy ageing. Whether you are looking for one or two sessions to make sure you’re on the right track, or longer-term support to help you meet your goals, our dietitians are here to provide tailor-made advice that focusses on what is important to you
We can support you with:
- Managing chronic health conditions such as diabetes and high cholesterol
- Optimising nutrition to support physical strength and wellbeing
- Managing gastrointestinal issues such as reflux and Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Enjoying food that supports your health goals and lifestyle
- Following medically prescribed diets in a way that works for you
Sessions are available in-clinic, at home, or via telehealth.
Occupational Therapists
Occupational therapists work with the individual, their family or carers and other health professionals to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and environmental factors impacting wellbeing, quality of life and participation in meaningful daily activities.
We can assist with:
- Falls prevention and improved safety and mobility at home
- Assessment and prescription of equipment to support mobility, personal care, domestic tasks, and community or social participation
- Improving function and independence through adaptive strategies, skill-building, and targeted exercises
- Education and strategies to manage cognitive changes, including dementia
- Dementia-specific support, including approaches to prevent and manage behaviours that impact safety or daily life.
Specialised Programs
We offer evidence-based programs designed to support cognitive health, daily living, and connection.
- Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST): Group program for people with mild to moderate dementia.
- MemoRehab: Online cognitive rehabilitation to support memory and thinking skills.
- Motiview: Virtual cycling that combines movement, memory, and social connection.
- CoPE: An occupational therapist–led program helping people with dementia and their caregivers manage daily life at home.
Costs and Funding
Funding options vary depending on the clinician and service. You may be eligible for:
- Medicare rebates (with a GP referral or care plan)
- DVA (no out-of-pocket cost)
- Home Care Package (HCP) or CHSP funding (a co-payment applies)
- Private health insurance rebates
- Private fee (for services not eligible for rebates)

CHSP Allied Health Services
Supporting independence, wellness, and quality of life in the Southern Highlands.
Proudly supported by the Australian Government through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
To access CHSP-funded services, you’ll need to be assessed by My Aged Care (MAC) and issued a referral code.
If you don’t yet have a referral, Harbison can help guide you through the process.
All our allied health services can be accessed using CHSP funding with the appropriate referral.

Referrals can be made directly by GPs, specialists, and other health professionals.
Families and Carers
Families and carers are welcome to make a referral on behalf of their loved one.
Self-Referral
Older adults can also refer themselves to our services.
