
Volunteer Transport Driver
We are currently seeking Volunteer Transport Drivers to enhance independence and social lives of Harbison residents.
What will I be responsible for?
- Ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of residents and staff during various activities, functions and outings.
- Following all traffic laws, regulations and safe driving practices while operating the vehicle.
- Actively participating in and supporting organised outings as required.
- Supporting the Transport Booking system and processes.
What are the requirements of the role?
- A current Class LR (Light Rigid) Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
- Reliable and able to commit to at least 2 hours per week.
- Positive attitudes and values consistent with a person-centered approach.
- Strong relationship-building skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
Commitment to continuous improvement. - Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Experience working with older people including the frail aged, people with a disability and children.
- Must hold a current National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check.
- Must meet Child Protection Act requirements and hold a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
