World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2022

28 April is World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This year, we look at how we have built a positive safety and health culture at Harbison:

We have a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Committee, who meet on a bimonthly basis to consult on work health and safety issues within the organisation
We have reporting systems to report incidents, risks and hazards
We have an Injury Management Coordinator to support injured workers to recover safely at work
We have a dedicated Fire Safety Officer
We follow safe work procedures and have a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) register
All equipment is regularly tested and reviewed
Staff undergoing mandatory training annually
We are a workplace that values diversity and inclusivity, and do not tolerate bullying and harassment
We provide a free Employee Assistance Program for staff and volunteers
We welcome all feedback and have a system which can be accessed by all, overseen by our Complaints Officer
We have a grievance policy and escalation processes
We have an Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator to ensure we are prepared to prevent and respond to infectious outbreaks
We provide free influenza vaccination clinics for residents and staff, annually
